When I saw Christy's ingenious farm table, I told her she HAD to share it on The Abundant Life. She came up with an affordable, creative solution for small families like ours who like to entertain.

I love my old table. I have had it for 25 years or so. It is hand made for me by my sweet husband. It is like the table in the TV show the Walton's. I loved that table with all of the family around it. So my husband made one for me. Yes, he made me some bench seats too. We also brought 2 chairs to go at the end of the table just like on the TV show. I also use it so much for cutting sewing projects. It is very helpful. I can and do often seat 12 people here. It is a great family style table.
Thanks for the link, Meredith. I finally got it posted. Had to wait until I finished my latest project that was spread out on and under my hobby table. You couldn't see the table for all the stuff! (grin)

Thanks for finding this for us! I'm so excited to read this book. Growing up, I looked forward to The Sound of Music on TV every year.
