What to do with toothpicks

We had, oh, about 500 toothpicks leftover from the breakfast. Andrew quickly claimed them as his own, and we've been making marshmallow snowflakes all morning.

What a cute idea! Although if my son did this, we would end up with no marshmallows and 500 toothpicks in a pile. *giggle*

That is a great idea! I am sure my 5-year old crafter, Caedmon, is grateful to you and Andrew for all these great ideas...otherwise, we would never do anything creative like this!

I agree with the comment on the math skills. I have used this in the classroom as a geometry lesson. Ask the students to make basic shapes and can also be used to make the more advanced ones such as cubes. Great fun with such simple things.
