Beyond practical

What does it mean when your goal in life is to have a well-worn apron hanging from the pantry door?

I liked the link. When I first got married I too did not have an apron...I remember having a hard time finding one and ended up buying a men's bbq looking one. But it worked! I now have 3 or 4 aprons and I love the concept of aprons, I love the look of vintage aprons. My problem is I usually forget to put one on until it is too late. I'm trying to make more of an effort to wear one b/c I'm trying of grease splashes and the like on my clothes.

A well-worn apron sounds like a worthy goal...

What does it mean?....well, I think it means that I am seeking to do the most good right where I am, for those with whom I live. Coincidentally, I do have a favorite apron (in fact, it's getting pretty beat-up looking), & I do hang mine on the pantry door. I can hardly do my work around the home without an apron on. :o)

I love aprons and forget to wear them too often! My favorite is one that my grandmother wore nearly every time I saw her in the kitchen. The ties are raveling, but I can still use it. It's a wonderful reminder of her and our times around the table.

I have several aprons and also seem to forget until it's too late. But nearly every time I do wear one DH gets pretty lovey-dovey--surest way to get a compliment ;)

I think it is a perfect visual for Proverbs 31. I've been wanting a very pretty, girly apron. Think I'll get on the ball and find one!

I think it can a symbol of the time and care that a woman puts into her family. Also, it's just plain fun to get gussied up for the kitchen :) I was searching for a tunic type apron (I'm an above-the-waist splasher) and turned a cheery yellow pillowcase into an apron to match my kitchen.

I think it's a beautiful sentiment and goal. I love how it emphasizes the value of family and the honor of serving your family.

When I'm home from work, it means a lot to slip on an apron to prepare the supper for the evening - it makes me feel really good -
that's when I remember to wear it, before the 'splash' comes and lands on my silk blouse... ha ha ha
