34 Week Update

Fridays are my prenatal checkup days. I drive to a nearby city, do a little garage saling on the way, stop at the local grocer ($1.48/lb boneless chicken breasts this week). Did I mention I love my OB's office? It's in an office building with parking literally five feet from the door--no parking garages or downtown traffic.
Here's my big news: the baby has shifted to a downward position, and the pain in my back and legs has diminished by half. It's like a miracle! My first pregnancy worsened until the very end, when the epidural took effect. I remember bursting into tears because it was the first time in three months that my legs didn't hurt. This relief--I just can't thank God enough. Even if it doesn't last long, to have one week of sleep and work without pain is such a blessing.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth in Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5

Maybe it was making that second pie that was the very moment Baby turned : ) God bless your sacrifices and thank you for publicly thanking Him!

Isn't that a good feeling? Our 34 week baby just turned head-down too. Ahhh...sweet relief! *Now* I feel 7 1/2 months pregnant. Before, I told everyone I felt 11 months pregnant, which would make me a cow.
I didn't realize our duedates were so close. I'm June 20; you?

It's hard to believe you only have a few weeks left! Praying for you ... let me know if I can do anything since we are close (sort-of!)

Bless your heart....aren't you getting excited to see how everything in your body is getting ready to bring this new little one into the world?! I am so happy that you are feeling better. Hope that you can begin to sleep better now, and tire out less during the day so that you'll have more of an energy reserve for when the big day arrives!
Blessings-
