Thanks for your input on the results of my do-it-yourself photo shoot! I will be picking up copies of Photo #2 at Walmart later this morning. The yard sale frames are waiting!

I love the second picture. She is beautiful. The one of her sitting on the bench is just perfect. Thanks for the blogs. I enjoy looking at the things you share with the world. Roxie
They're all just precious! However, I like the last one best because it's the one in which you can most clearly see her face. She's really quite a beautiful little girl!
I am a professional children's photographer. I would print the 2nd one. It has great composition and tells a story. That being said, they are all lovely pictures.

I love #2 because it looks like a classical portrait. However, you may prefer one of the others that better shows her unique expression and personality. No matter which you pick, rest assured your daughter is absolutely gorgeous!
Oh, I LOVE the second one, where she is seated with the ferns in the background. It's just lovely and looks like a professional outdoor portrait. My second choice would be the black & white. Your photography is great, btw.
I'm leaning toward #2 as well. Looks like you might have a winner based on the feedback so far. I also like the B&W one. If you don't mind me asking.. where did you take these picturs? It is a beautiful backdrop!
They are all gorgeous, precious pics! But if I had to pick, #2 would be my fave because of the way her face is upturned in such a sweet way and the picture is very appealing and well balanced. Nice job, Meredith!
so the clear favorite is 2 and i concur (sp) but i do fancy the bwhite one and would make a copy for yourself...
i took great shots of my dd....but once ds came along, getting a good pick of the 2 them, aged me about 10 yrs,..so i do candids of them together and nice shots of them ALONE...with the other child in a different location..like in the next town so they dont tease each other.,...very cute location btw..
She's beautiful! I agree with everyone else--#2--she looks like a fairy in that one. Still, I would have to say that "mama knows best." Capturing personality is what makes a good picture and you're the one who is best able to say which one captures Elise best.
They are all beautiful! I would have to say the third because it shows the most of her face and years from now, that's what I would want to see. That's hard though, because I'm VERY partial to baby feet, especially when the toes show!
#2! The fourth one is okay, but it's too busy - Elise is almost lost against the urns. You could always have 4x6s printed of the three "unchosen," then frame them together in a long mat with 3 cutouts. 4x6 prints through snapfish.com are only $.12!
Also, if #4 was originally in color, perhaps you (or someone you know) could do some playing and leave Elise in color and the rest B&W so she stands out more.
I go on vacation and MISS IT! You took away all the other photos! LOL!! But the one you have left is BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could take pics like that. I would LOVE to read a post on your blog about how to do your own portaits! I love how you share places to go, maybe if we ALL shared places in OUR towns we could get a great list going. And then take pictures when we are on vacation at those unique spots.

First of all, GREAT JOB! It's so hard to get good pics of the little ones. Well, honestly, it's still hard when they're older.
I love one and two the best, but would print #2.
It's a keeper, just like Elise :)
The second one! But they are all beautiful.

My vote is #2 or #4. Very cute!
#2 or #4
I would say #2 is my favorite but all of them show what a sweet little girl you have :) Thanks for asking and including us in the decision.
HANDS DOWN NUMBER TWO!! Well done!!

I like #2 best too - very cute!

2 & 4
more 2, though (it looks more professional)
I agree. The one with ferns is my first choice. Then the black-and-white as 2nd choice.

#2 or #4. Great shots!!
#2 or #3 - I do think that if it were my child, I would pick #2.
#2!!!!
What pretty pictures! I think #2 as well! =)
#2 clearly shows her beautiful face AND it has such a magicala mood about it. You should be very proud of yourself, you did very well. Martha

My favorite by far is #4, but I am a huge fan of b&w and sepia photos. I love, love, love the rich contrast. My second choice would be #2.
Excellent job!
#2 is the vote of our family.
#2
#2! A professional couldn't have done any better.

I love the black and white one. I am such a fan of black and white photos. That is the one I would do.
Number 2!

I can't choose between #2 and #4. They each have their advantages.
They are all lovely pictures!
#2
Either #2 or #4. But leaning towards #2. :)

The shot on the bench (#2). The beauty of the composition and elements, and her unhappy disposition is not so obvious as in the others.
On a happier day would love to see what you can capture using that gate!

The photograph on the bench with the ferns is so magical . I have expect wood fairies to join her.
