My find

Many of you asked just what I found at Salvation Army. I didn't want to say a peep until the auction closed. A long time ago I spotted some unstructured clothing labeled Esk*ndar. Though the name was wholly unfamiliar, the cotton and linen were fine, the design unique. I shelled out $11 bucks for five pieces, laundered them, and hung them in my closet until the great clean-out.I decided to sell anything extra to fund my husband's birthday gift. This morning the five pieces closed over $200! I was quite clear in my description that they are not in new quality, even though the price skyrocketed. I like to wrap sold items beautifully. I wrap each piece with tissue tucked between each fold. It prevents wrinkling and makes a good first impression. Having a giant roll of yard sale tissue helps!

Don't you find that whenever you order something online, it's like you are buying a present for yourself? I hope my buyer will be as pleased with her package as I am to sell those clothes.

My husband once found some old books in the library of a Christian school that had shut down. Since they were old, he decided to try selling them on Ebay. On one of them, we noticed that the price skyrocketed within hours of posting it. The highest bidder paid us over $500 for that one book! We did some research and found that it was a rare copy, and it was in good condition. It was fun, but we've never seen any more of those books! LOL

Congratulations on your find!

Wow, Susan, that's an amazing profit! My biggest profit to date was a fly rod I bought for $1.50 and sold for $425.

Renee, I'd rather not give out my ebay username here, just to be on the safe side for future sales, okay?

Wow! Great sale! My best sale so far was a TI graphing calculator I found cleaning out some moving boxes my husband had been toting around for years. He claimed to never have owned such a thing, and the other likely owner, his brother, said the same thing. So for me it was free and it sold for about $100. I'm starting to consider shopping yard sales and such for resale but still trying to figure where to focus my interests so I love hearing your ebay and craiglist stories.

Nice ending bid! Great find...I'm taking a break from ebay. I love your wrapping; I'm sure the buyer will be so pleased. I know I would...not everyone takes the time to wrap things well.

I just looked that brand up and saw a single scarf for $390. So I can see how you got so much for the stuff.
