Selling the quilt

Though its colors were perfect, the yard sale quilt just didn't work anywhere in the house! I had hoped to hang it here, behind the grandfather's rolltop desk, but the pattern was wider than it was long. I listed it on Ebay tonight. Hope I didn't make a mistake in not selling it locally first. There seem to be bargains galore on all kinds of Ebay quilts.

We brought in the rest of the unpacked boxes from the garage. Whew! There are so many items I'll be selling soon. I tend to save things for the next house, but I feel the urge to purge. I can't decide if I'm simply lightening up or settling down!

ohhhh! You're selling the quilt... dang. And it figures, the auction ends on the 12th, which happens to be my birthday. :P I hope it doesn't go too high... I wouldn't mind owning it. :)

Perhaps you should have sold it through your blog first :)

If it was me and the colours really were perfect for your scheme, I would have committed sacriledge and cut it down to size (!) and re-edged it so you could display it nicely.........after all , its yours and you can do as you will with it ; )

How do you decide what to save for the next house and what to get rid of? Are you planning on moving again?

I added your quilt to my watch list. I'll "talk" it up for you when I can.

I hope the bidding begins and it gets run up good and high so I can fight my impulse to bid on it for myself!
