Blogger isn't letting me post comments on non-Beta blogs--the only part of this transition that stinks so far. If you don't hear from me for a while, that's why. That and company for the next few days. Plus moving. It might be a while...

Jenn (Frugal Upstate), I wanted to tell you WAY TO GO on the super school lunch plan. I appreciate the tips about pre-warming thermoses. I have a soup thermos for this fall. Tell your kindergartener even principals bring their lunch.
Crystal of Biblical Womanhood, congratulations on your husband's success! We're at the very end of my husband's schooling, and I can only imagine your joy and relief.
Laura of Let Me Be A Woman, I don't think you need an invitation to switch to Blogger beta. I just followed the directions from the dashboard and hit the "agree" button. Maybe it's overloaded while everyone's playing on the long weekend? Once you do switch, though, you can't switch back.
Patty (Morning Ramble), your apple-pie-in-a-jar photo looks nothing less than magazine quality! You are so talented with your camera. Not to mention the canning.
Mrs. Catherine, love the biscuit-making demo. Our Nashville public television aired a fantastic documentary examining the various methods of Southern biscuit making, which you would very much enjoy. One can't watch it without craving them afterward.

Thank you for the kind comment on my apple pie in a jar photo.

Holy cow, Meredith. I got a ton of hits today and couldn't figure it out... the power of Merchant Ships =)

I have a beta blogger blog set up, I just can't merge the two yet. I will patiently wait my turn.... or try.

Thanks for the mention!

OK, now it won't let me leave a comment to you. Lets try #2. . .

Glad you liked the lunch info. Since Princess doesn't start school until this Thursday I haven't had a chance to try a lot of the tips and tricks myself, so we'll see how that goes. But I've done the prewarm thing on thermoses before and it works like a charm!

OK, after Lady Laura's comment I went and checked sitemeter, and I didn't have a single hit from your site. Then I checked the link, and somehow the link is going to just my comments and not the actual article. So if anyone would like to read it, here is the link to my article on school lunches:
