Museum Day

Don't forget to pencil Museum Day on your Sept. 30th calendar! In cooperation with the Smithsonian, select museums will offer free, one-time admission to the public. Here's a link for more information. In Tennessee's list, the best choice seems to be Andrew Jackson's home, the Hermitage. It's pricey for a regular visit. They do offer free admission on Andrew Jackson's birthday, but I understand it's quite crowded then. I have a feeling Museum Day will be a little less publicized.

great idea! I have already marked the museums we want to see, free.

Another thought when choosing your museum...many local libraries (at least ours here in NH) have free passes to certain museums that can be checked out like a book. i always check the library first...

I don't see the Museum of Natural History in NYC listed, but I could check again. I haven't been there in years, and it's so much fun.
BTW, thanks for visiting my blog!
