I had the carpet in the study shampooed on Friday, but the "dry clean" solution was anything but dry all weekend.
The laundry piled up because the chairs were delicately balanced atop the machines. I noticed the big recliner slipping and quickly threw my two volume set of the Oxford English Dictionary to weight the lighter side.
I knew those books would have a practical use someday!
