Domestic Engineers

My little one is in his engineering period right now.

Toys have no appeal, but a box is a scooper, a stained tie is the chain for a pulley, and the water from my rose bouquet? Fuel for a grist mill made of straws and paper cups.

While I'm not thrilled about the clean up, his resourcefulness is a source of mommy pride. This new phase challenges me to get creative.

  • What junk can be put to a new use?
  • What's broken around my house that needs a quick fix?
  • How can I find what I need without spending a dime?

These are questions domestic engineers love to answer!
