Mothers En Masse

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I have multiple mothers- and grandmothers-in-law. This year, I bought their gifts in bulk.

Awful, aren't I?

I was strolling through Dollar Tree when I saw a clerk unloading a shipment of beautiful hardbacks with sepia covers. One was Mary Higgins Clark's memoir, which details her childhood, early career, and motherhood. Perfect!

I snapped up five copies, a roll of embossed foil paper, and was all done for under $6. The wrapped packages slipped easily into my surplus brown envelopes. I'm printing out the postage as I write.

In the old days, I would have spent a weekend scouring the city for a gift tailored to each woman, exhausting everyone in the process.

Cutting my gas expenses this month has simplified my life in more ways than I anticipated!

I am not exactly sure how I landed at your blog, but I like it and will bookmark it. I think the presents sound wonderful and they are lovely! I consider saving money to be a minor hobby of mine and I am always looking for ways to do it better, the "merchant ships" part of Prov. 31 is something I try to make applicable in my life.

Have wonderful day!

Got your blog from the Dollar Stretcher, which I am a regular subscriber. I like going to the 75% off book store for gifts. They have brand new books, books on tape, calendars, etc. for 75% off. I shop there for Christmas, birthdays and for other gift giving ideas. Brand new books for a brand new price. I will get my husband to put you on his blogspot so that I can read you again. Good luck on your trip with that 3yr. old. Lucy Stern
