I love the words I find at Daily Portion. Today, I was moved by Missy's conclusion to Green Is A Common Sense Color:
"I am here as witness and steward, and worshiper of the Maker. I want to treat less callously what He made. And with a clothespin, a homemade meal, a planted seed, give thanks."
thank you for that lovely link. a much broader less "me" approach than the one i took for my earth day post, which is exactly how it should be, as we all live here together. may you have an earth colored day. nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
The simple things in our lives are so profound. Thank you for sharing that quote from Missy. If that doesn't give value to all the women who sacrifice other things in life to do just that, I don't know what does.

This is a beautiful quote. I'm heading over to check her out.
I had to giggle when I first read it, instead of reading "Daily Portion" I read "Dolly Parton". Apparently, I need to slow down when I read. :)
thanks for the link...it was reaffirming to read.
Great quote...

That is a lovely quote and definitely how I want to view earth day!
Thanks for the great link, Meredith. I am going to put it on my blog as well. She articulated it very well.
Sweet quote!
How beautiful; thanks for sharing!
