Happy St. Valentine's Day

Last February 14th, we recovered from the flu and cheered ourselves up with apples.

The year before, I broke the garbage disposal cooking a mean shrimp etouffee and served everyone an unexpectedly crunchy cheesecake.

Here's to a day full of love and free from emergencies!

We have the flu this year, and so we're postponing our "celebration" to next Saturday.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Yup, got a baby with a fever here, and a husband who had to go to the office all day. Workin' on getting that good attitude together. =) Here's hoping tonight redeems all that. I did make him homemade donuts and sausage for breakfast before he left...

according to the post , eggshells..lol..hopefully just a bite or two..

valentines is quite low key, here, i've often told dh, not to buy tons of over priced flowers for me...so he made us all heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, i made heart shaped (they looked aweful, tasted great) cupcakes...had a few thing for the kids from my "stash"

i hope your valentines this years, costs less than a plumber, tastes better than crunchy cheesecake and without the flu...

we had a fun family Vday breakfast and then a bunch of teens over for the afternoon/evening. Really romantic. :)

Our first Thanksgiving I broke the disposal by stuffing (!) all the peels from all the yams down it.

My very plumbing-averse husband did not have a good day that day!

Oh, and I was 9 1/2 months pregnant and my m-i-l kept asking me if it was time...
