Free fall fun

Yesterday I begged--no, ordered--the kids to run some laps outside.

We raked a path in the leaves and set up an obstacle course. (The rakes at neck-level were not my idea.)

Watch for specialty garden tools on super-clearance as the Christmas displays go up.

I bought these shrub rakes ($2) thinking the thick plastic tines won't poke an eye out.

Hey, a mom can dream!

We do this, too! Sometimes they just have to get some of that energy out:) Jack especially loves it, even though his little short legs make it extra tough!

I shortened the handles on our swiffers so the boys could help "clean". They mostly run around the house chasing each other with them, but I'm sure some dust gets picked up that way ;) I hope you and little John are doing well.

That's a great idea with the rakes. I've been thinking about picking up some "kid size" rakes for my little ones - but I bet your way would be less expensive. Just need to keep my eyes open...

Thanks~

What a fun idea! I'm always looking for new ways to work some of the wild energy out of my kiddos. :)
