Good morning!

We reduced the house to a manageable level of disorder.

It is a humbling experience to expose your lack of organization to others--even when my own husband and mother are doing the grunt work.

Little baby will have a place to sleep and diapers. There is food in the freezer. And while my heels are still callused, at least my toenails won't accidentally stab the nurse.

I'm going to send my virus-laden computer off for a cleaning. If anything exciting happens, I'll have my brother update.

I'm sure you must be feeling a little better, knowing that the house is at least partially "shored up" and that things are more ready now than they were last week. I can honestly say that I think I know exactly how you feel, because I have been in that same position myself when I was so sick during my pregnancy with Olivia...and it IS humbling when you have to have help like that. But, oh well!!!....This will pass, and soon there will be a new baby here! Can't wait to meet your new little one, maybe yet this week!

I'm sure that makes you feel better!

I can SO relate on the humbling experience part... when I was on bedrest in my first pregnancy my mother-in-law came once a week for a while to clean our house. I was grateful later, but at the time I was horrified that she'd seen the house in such a mess.

Do not worry about your feet. No one will be looking at your feet. Try some vasoline and socks on your heals at night. It does help. I am praying for you. Roxie

Don't even talk to me about not being organized. I'm the world's worst...

I'm glad things are ready for the baby. And in our neck of the woods gas prices have gone down too..and it seems plentiful enough... I do hope everything goes well with the delivery.. no one will be looking at your feet...

I'll be checking back..

I know a bit how you feel... When I was 8 months pregnant with my 1st, we discovered that our well was tainted. This meant that all our clothing and dishes had to be re-washed and sterilized after connecting to the city water. I also couldn't do any normal housecleaning or cooking until we hooked in since my OB preferred that I be exposed to as little e coli as possible. We finally got into the water main 3 weeks and 2 days before my due date and I started feverish prep. Unfortunately, Charlie decided to arrive 3 weeks early and the house was a complete shambles. My mother rescued the house while I was in the hospital but the whole experience was mortifying.

Good luck when the baby comes. I too have stocked my freezer with freezer meals, like casseroles and lasagna for hubby to make after the baby comes in a few weeks. Looks like you're finishing up the nesting. I am glad your mom and husband can help.
Take it easy.

I gave you an award at my site.

When my first child was born, he slept in his car seat for the first week because we didn't have anywhere else for him!

I remember when my mother came to look after the house when my first was born. It was extremely humbling. She came into my room and asked where the floor brush was. I didn't have a floor brush. She said she should have guessed.

I've never let anyone clean my house since!
