Nursery decorating, part 2

Let's not kid anyone--this room is mostly Elise, with a little bit "itty bitty," as she calls him.

We've reused the green toile crib skirt and yellow sheet. Good thing I never got around to painting the blue crib rails!

On the office chair search at Habitat Homestore, I fell in love with this oil pastel.

The clear blues and greens stood out from a shelf of Holiday Inn extras. $30 was a splurge, especially when I had already spent $100 for the dresser and bed.

When we flipped it over, we saw the distinctive Lyzon label (one of Nashville's oldest galleries).

I'm sorry, baby #3, for not organizing a Hot Wheels nursery in red and blue. You'll soon learn I have to use what I have.

I promise to move you in with Andrew the minute you take notice!

I think this is adorable. When my son was born hew was moved into a periwinkle winnie the pooh room. He is definitely a boys boy, but he's ok with it still at 2. Someday I'll have to make him a John Deere room, but for now, he will make do. They seem to learn that early enough.

I love it! :)

I decorated our daughter's nursery in red & white... with no apologies that it wasn't pink.

I just adore all the vintage inspiration you have put in that room. Your children are so blessed to have such a restful space. Good job.

Blessings,
Michele :)

I LOVE the frog! And the Lyzons find is amazing! I have everything framed there and have for 10 years. (I'm sucky at frugality. I've decided to just own it.)

My daughter Amelia has a blue nursery. I knew (KNEW!) I was carrying a boy. After her birth, I put some pink in there, too. I did, however, return all the boy clothes in the closet, though... ;o)

Lovely! It looks very calming and serene. Exactly what you want to look at when you are sleep deprived. :)

Hot Wheels. Ick. You know you'd be sick of that in a year anyway. LOL

Looks just beautiful for babykins and big sis! I know you wouldn't do Hot Wheels anyhow. And have you noticed that the high-end, celeb look lately is "vintage" "old furniture from Grandma's attic."

Well, the 3rd kid never seems to mind! Your sweet bundle is going to feel so loved by his parents and siblings.
BTW, how you feeling? Wish you could lounge in my pool - I'd even wait on you :))

Beautiful and peaceful and classic. I wouldn't change a thing!

(But don't forget to move the picture over the crib when he can pull up! My Ben's first stitches were caused by glass from a picture frame.) :(

I love what you've done-- you really know how to work with what you have!

I had the SAME exact frog music box growing up...it's from one of Beatrix Potter's books....mine had a (broken) fishing pole made from bamboo or something that you could thread through his hands. There was a little string attached with a porcelain fish.

I'm decorating my son's room right now (since he's never had his own before) and it's amazing all the stuff I found that my mom had while I was growing up... I've got to repaint the orange and yellow humpty dumpty lamp, but once I do, it's going to be great!
