Whew!

It does give me a quiet thrill to see everything so fresh and folded...

...even if it only happens once a year! Now who can tell that all these clothes are secondhand?

No, not one person can tell if the clothes are 2nd hand or just worn once or twice by you the present owner. It does look really nice to see the 'fruit' of our labor all laid out. Have you found just the perfect dress for yourself yet? Roxie

I like the lime and blue colors.

OK, Meredith! You KNOW we're all waiting to see the grand finale of all your preparation....we want to see what you decided to wear for the wedding! I'm getting excited for you as your trip draws near! Even though this has been a lot of work, and extra stress because of all the pregnancy issues, it will still be fun to board the plane and take off for a vacation destination! Wishing you a blessed and truly wonderful time, and I mean that. I can't wait to hear about the wedding and the trip in general, and I am sure that I speak for others when I say that we sure hope you post some pictures from the trip! Lots of them!!

Once you wear I wash clothes, they are then "used". I prefer to let someone else take the depreciation. A nice stack of carefully washed, iron and folded clothes does give one a sense of satisfaction, doesn't it?

Super job! Ironing is not my favorite chore either!

It's amazing what a little photo-shopping can do, eh? JUST kidding!

Hey, you're not supposed to remind me of my own overflowing ironing pile! ;-)

I'm glad you got yours done, though. It does feel good to finally accomplish that awful task.

Fantastic colours! I'm getting into the habit of ironing little and often - I quite enjoy it sometimes. Ironing teatowels can be therapeutic!

i like ironing. it is a time of creative thinking for me or mindless activity if that's what i need. i have always ironed our clothes which require it, but not sheets, etc. i think ironing got a bad wrap when wives ironed everything, even underwear, at least here in the south. as for second hand clothes---look on that as sharing what is available and not wasting. only in america is this wide spread notion of second hand. it's not necessary to work so hard to impress strangers. just a few thoughts from an old woman. have a good trip, it's only the feelings and good times that matter. anita

Ok I am so embaresses admitting this. I have no idea how to properly iron a thing. I would really think I would enjoy ironing but have no idea the do's and dont's.

My poor family has never seen an ironed crisp anything, lol!

Maybe I should not be chuckling now after reading the iron maidens on this blog accomplishing this task.

While others are learning to knit this summer, maybe they should have an ironing 101 class for people like myself.

Oh! That beautiful stack of clothes!

I think Anita said it well - secondhand clothes are just SHARED. I feel guilty buying new clothes without first checking the secondhand stores.
What a beautiful photo! Warms any housekeeping heart :)

I work at a preschool and we have a dress code. We're not allowed to wear blue jeans. So I shop for secondhand clothing to wear to work. If a little one spills paint on me, I'm a lot less likely to care since I may have only paid $2 for the item!

We sometimes do craft projects in class that involve ironing. You wouldn't believe how many kids don't know what an iron is or what it's for!!!
