Hello from a fellow SAHM! I was checking out your blog and I noticed you are a bargain hunter like myself! I would love to be added as alink to your blog. You can read mine at http://lifewithour9.blogspot.com. I will be glad to add you as well. Best wishes!
Maybe your mom gave you this advice because she learned something from giving you gas station food and didn't want her mistakes repeated by you. Anyone who brings birthday cake and a Bitty Baby to her granddaughter scores points with me!
I have no knowledge of Shoney's, but will definitely head over to Frugal Hacks. Actually I just posted my frugal breakfast at Frugal Upstate. I worked out the numbers and it's only $1.20 or so for a family of 4. Not bad!
Praying for Elise! My family has been blessed. I needed tubes as a child, as have my nieces, but my children have not. Although Mo did have a 5 day hospital stint, we have overall had good child health.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you were making a disparaging remark about your mother. It seems to me that she is just older and wiser now and a very good friend to you. I am sure she is very proud of the way you run your home (even if she had no egg scrambling advice to offer!)lol

Thinking about you and yours as you prepare for the big day tomorrow.

I know, that's exactly what she was doing. I didn't intend to disparage her.
I just thought it was funny because how in the world was I supposed to do this?!?
