September

Clarice of Storybook Woods is ready to welcome autumn to her blog.

I'll be making a pantry meal of Dawn's Boston brown bread with baked beans, but Amy's been testing Pumpkin Spice waffles for a weekend pantry breakfast.

We put out mums for our party. Lo and behold, cooler weather followed...with rain!

The Deputy Headmistress isn't the only one playing with acorns this week. The kids had their outdoor playtime while I disinfected the trash bins. Elise toddled toward me, her cheeks bulging with green acorns. (And none too happy to spit them out!)

Everything is looking so pretty and ready for fall. I need to go pick up my fall mums for the year. My front step needs a good sprucing up!

I hope you like the waffles as much as we did! That butter puts them over the top.

I am going to be raiding them out of my freezer this weekend.

Thank you so much for the link, Meredith!

I have never heard that phrase "pantry meal". Must be a southern phrase? But it does fit!
