We had eaten down our freezer meats and meals, in case we lost power while we were away. Today I'm busy grocery shopping and planning. I marked all my Bloglines feeds as "already read" so I'm not tempted to catch up with all of you first! I'll update more when our Internet connection problems are solved.

Home again
We had eaten down our freezer meats and meals, in case we lost power while we were away. Today I'm busy grocery shopping and planning. I marked all my Bloglines feeds as "already read" so I'm not tempted to catch up with all of you first! I'll update more when our Internet connection problems are solved.

Hi Meredith-
I've been missing you! Wow, the Carribean?! That sounds like a wonderful trip! Hope you post some pictures of it.

You know, you need to schedule your visits to the in-laws when the weather in your hometown is cold and snowy.
I don't always get away with it, but I try to schedule my visits to the in-laws in winter: our average high in January is in the 30's. My in-laws live in Dallas, which has an average high of 55 for January.
Your inlaws are very lucky that you make the sacrifice to visit them annually.
And those grocery prices are astronomical!

Welcome home!!! Wow, those grocery prices are eye-popping!!Glad you're home safe and sound
It's actually been two years since we visited their home. My husband has been taking summer classes, and the tickets are too expensive for weekend trips.
We try to meet them in Florida or Georgia whenever we can--both places to which we can drive.
Did you say Caribbean? Sweet! I hope you'll post pics soon.
