Lighting your home--cheap

Our new home has many outdoor lights, two of which recently broke. To replace one meant replacing them all. My husband didn't think I would ever enough identical secondhand lights.
I was so thankful to find five just-right carriage lights at a thrift store--ranging in price from $2 to $4. They even have the mounting kits!

I'm telling you...the thrift shop mojo is stalking you!!! That is an awesome find. I love the lantern look. Very nice.

Also, your porch planters look lovely! If you have any more advice on gardening as you blog this spring and summer, I'm all ears!!! I've already looked through your archives. I need as much help as I can get with plants/yard stuff.

Fabulous lights! We moved recently, and need to do all kinds of improvements, and I'd love to fix it up with thrift store finds, but I struggle with how long it takes to find good stuff. I don't want things to look like we just moved in 12 months or more from now.

We do have a Habitat for Humanity store which is great if you're patient (or like stuff from the 70's) :-)

Nice! I almost bought new fixtures on Friday but I am still looking for the perfect set! I really dislike my kitchen fixtures. I am counting on a garage sale score this summer to fix it.
