Armoire revisited

A minor miracle today--the baby took a good nap, and I had all the materials I needed to complete the armoire for our dining room. I gave the interior another coat of Walmart's high gloss Chinese Lantern. Painting its curved ceiling reminded me of James' ride inside the giant peach. This canteloupe color glows!

While the paint dries, I'm gathering miscellaneous pretties from around the house--small items not used elsewhere, art with a touch of green or orange, a marbled paper shade. The armoire must hold necessities like table linens and platters, too.

Beautiful choice for inside the armoire.

Another topic: I'm wondering how your new presser is working? Do show photos when you get it up and running!

It's looking beautiful! Can't wait to see it finished. Isn't this a great time of year for rearranging/refurbishing (the only part of spring cleaning that I truly like)?

Very special indeed. I get almost as much pleasure from watching your projects unfold as I do when I do them myself - without the cleanup!

Keep up the good work! I hope your baby takes lots of good naps. :)

That is beautiful. I really love the colors. I am sure it will be a wonderful treasure for many years to come.

You and your other blogging friends (seeing their sites through your blog) have inspiered me to get my sewing machine going again and get busy. I have let this computer steal too much of my time and have not been sewing as much...so I am going to put the computer to 'bed' at 6:00 and sew in the evenings....
Thanks so much for sharing your world with us. It is wonderful to watch you and your great family live a faith inspired life.

Be sure to show us pictures. I want a picture from the other side of the room so we can see it "in context." Great job!
