More retro recipes

This link is courtesy of the paternal half of Preschoolers and Peace, The Mango Times:

Vintage 70's Weight Watcher recipe cards with hilarious commentary. It will make you think twice before arranging food photos for your blog. Perhaps I liked it so much because I once tried serving canned mackerel in our most penny-pinching newlywed days.

Here, try the snappy mackerel casserole and then click around from there...

Seriously, do not eat lunch at the keyboard while reading. Strong warning for language and content, though.

Did you know that there is a Flickr group devoted to making and photographing the recipes on these cards? Especially the mackerel pudding.

Hilarious! Looks to be the sad legacy of the "food scientests" I learned about reading the book "Perfection Salad" as you recommended a while back.

My stomach hurt from laughing so hard! I even bookmarked it to show my husband when he came home. We both got a huge kick out of this! Thank you!
