Not that kites are too expensive in the first place...But this impromptu version was much fun. I was about to throw away this torn lawn bag. Andrew tied an extra long piece of curly ribbon to its handle, and off they went!

Wow! is that your yard? What a beautiful, peaceful place you were at! ('course, living in the desert makes me pine for trees & grass!).
It looks like he was having a blast! way to be frugally impromptu! You're teaching him valuable lessons living the way you do!
Oh, Meredith, that is the sweetest picture! Great shot and what a creative little boy you are raising. I just love their imaginations at this age. I am always impressed what Ethan can come up with.
Ooh, thanks for the reminder. The ducklings are too little for kites or even lawn bags, but when I was little we used plastic grocery bags to the same effect, and that would be just their speed. I can't wait for the next dry, windy day!

Wow what a great idea!! My boys would love this.
A creative talent and a one in which your son has derived a great deal of pleasure.
Brings back happy memories of my childhood too.
Thank you.
