As soon as I read the name of Sarah's blog ("Mommy, Are The Toys On Sale?"), I knew I'd have to share her frugal adventures with you. Right now she has a timely post about winter storm preparedness, or, as she jokes, finding her inner MacGyver.
Having also alluded to the same character, I have to ask: what is it about a challenge that can give us such cheap thrills? Do you enjoy being resourceful, or is this part of your job a source of stress?

For me it's the thrill of the hunt. It's the feeling I get at a yard sale or thrift store when I find the diamond in the rough.
I have a sense of pride when I see my family sitting down to a great meal that cost me only a few dollars. It makes me feel that the Lord is saying "Well done my good and faithful servant."
I meant to add that I've been home for six weeks after foot surgery, unable to drive. I'm proud that my family has been living comfortably off of my stockpiles and freezer. My husband had to stop only a few times for milk and bread.
