I covet their "everything closet." (Clicking on that link will take you to a floor plan exerpted by Amazon.) Part wardrobe, part laundry, part linen closet--everything is cleaned and stored in one great upstairs room. If I ever get a rambly old two-story farmhouse, I will shamelessly steal their idea for my very own. In fact, I'm going to walk over to the nonfiction section and check out this book again.

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed hearing what is 'in your library bag'! I put this book on reserve right away when I read your post. That super-closet sounds like an good goal for our next home.
:)
That's sounds like a great book and my library actually has it!! Can't wait. :)
I loved that Dugger family closet as well. I'd definitely do it if there were more of us. Great idea for a large family!
I really like that idea too! Ever since you mentioned not taking up floor space with dressers, it has been on the back of my mind. :)
the Engstrom family has done this as well.
Wow - this book looks great! I'm going to see if our library has it. What a fascinating idea to have all the closets in one room!
We have always just used our hallway coat closet for our children. That way I can just pull it out of the dryer, hang it up and it's ready to go for them in the mornings.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I ordered a $2 used copy off Amazon.com today. I think I may have the perfect room in mind....
So, our library does not have this or lots of books I look up. Does anyone know of more of a long-distance lending library for people in small towns like me?
I love this book - I've checked it out so many times from our library, I think they should just let me keep it.
I just requested it from my library! Thanks, Merideth ...
