Something from nothing

If you haven't read Joseph Had A Little Overcoat to your kids, check out a copy today! This Caldecott Award-winning book by Simms Taback illustrates just how many times a coat can be recycled. I like the bright, folk-style illustrations, but I love its thrifty message more.
***Preview a digital version of the book at the PBS site.

My nephew just loves this book since his name is Joseph, and his mama's and my maiden name is Simms. He could quote the whole thing as it was being read almost as soon as he could talk. :)

Hi Meredith,
I have been enjoying your blog for awhile and finally decided to take the time to let you know how much I appreciate your entries.

I love your heart for frugality, your family, and the Lord (not in that order of course!). :o)

This children's book looks so great I decided to blog about it at HomesteadBlogger since we have a whole section there on simple and frugal living!

Thanks again for your wonderful blog. It is an encouragement and inspiration to me!
