Hillbilly Housewife

As a new bride I stumbled upon a website called Hillbilly Housewife. Miss Maggie, the owner, has developed and tested dozens of frugal recipes. I think her collection of basic country cooking is truly the best of its kind. If you haven't visited in a while, she's added some new recipes and articles to help you combat this winter's high prices. I particularly like the one about which convenience foods can be good buys.
Incidentally, Miss Maggie is the author of the oft-forwarded article, Apron Evangelism. She speaks from the heart!

I love that site!

In fact, *blush* I'm tempted by those homemade sanitary napkins. I don't think they will take the place of tampons altogether -- but it looks easy enough for even me to make. An just not having to buy the pad part... would help.

Well, I won't elaborate on the napkins because my little brother reads this blog :) but they do look like they'd be softer than storebought.
