Ironing Nirvana: Rowenta Irons

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The iron is humming at my house this morning!

I stumbled upon a new toy at a thrift shop: a Rowenta iron for only $3.

I've been curious about this German powerhouse since watching Martha Stewart use hers in the early days of MSL. Now I see what all the fuss is about.

  • The stainless steel soleplate glides over the fabric effortlessly.
  • The steam settings adjust with precision.
  • The longer-than-usual pointed tip sneaks right into the nooks and crannies of a dress shirt without crushing the surrounding areas.

This afternoon I checked on Ebay and was surprised to see many Rowenta irons for the cost of a Black and Decker at Walmart. If you have to replace your iron in the near future, see if a Rowenta is within reach and join me in blissful ironing.

Do you have an appliance that has brightened your home routine? Details, please--I'm taking notes! :)

I just bought a Rowenta iron last month at a garage sale for $5. I was thrilled as I'd been wanting one for at least 10 years.

I *love* my Vita Mix blender. I feel like my whole family is healthier as we are using it every day to whip up smoothies with greens and vegetables. Love your site--it's fun to find somewhere else where people get excited about home things!

I will have to be on the look out for a Rowenta during my thrift shop visits. Anything...to make ironing easier! :-) Thanks for the tip!
