Use What I Have: Easter Centerpiece

I needed something spring, but without splurging on flowers during Lent.

We put together a little wild garden using only what we found outside.

  1. Take your shovel to that mossy patch under the air conditioner.
  2. Shake out anything that wiggles.

Tuck in a few clumps of wild violets, a textured rock, a few wispy branches for height.

Then we remembered this little bunny, still buried under last summer's mondo grass.

Water, drain, and slip into a pretty basket. Will last till Easter--or longer!

Lovely! We were out in the yard messing around with the wonderful green surprises popping up here and there in our yard - including some wonderful moss! Your sweet violets are miles ahead of ours, and we are expecting snow Monday, but soon spring will come to stay - very soon I hope!

Very, very pretty. Lots better than just plain flowers. Not that your flowers are ever plain. ; )

Yea - it's beautiful. I have a few things buried as well, and I do think it was a bunny AND a frog. :)
I planted the violets and my hubby isn't happy. They have reseeded EVERYwhere...so pretty down our drive way but for some reason he isn't liking them all over the grass...hmm :)

I meant to mention it to you - Sabrina and I were looking at it. The bunny caught her eye and she thought it was so cute that the bunny had a strawberry tucked in there to eat!
