Quick, cheap potted centerpiece

Are you tired of seeing this $9 bromeliad yet?

I promise, it's moving to my husband's office today. But not without one more job to do...

I need something to brighten a long beverage table. No budget, and not a whole lot of energy left.

What do I have without leaving home?

This 50-cent basket and the pot of ivy on my desk. Oh! And a basket of apples our generous neighbors picked from their tree.

This ivy is looking anemic. I'm going to spread out its tendrils for volume.

If you ever enjoyed playing with your Barbie Styling Head, you can do this!

The basket is still half-empty. Wad some brown paper between the 2 pots.

These apples are tart but pretty! The kids spread 2 handfuls across the brown paper filling.

We'll eat them later. For now, I'm glad they came to my rescue!

I'm constantly amazed by the way God provides. And you have a terrific eye for color and balance. I learn from you all the time. Thanks.

Very creative & pretty. Love the "can-do" attitude--so inspiring to me right now when I need it.

You are so dang clever & creative. Wish you could spend a day at my house using that decorating sense.

Once again, you've pulled it off! Apples, already (drools)....Ours are hardly past the greening stage! Anyway, they fill that little void in the basket quite nicely, & the fact that you can eat them later is always a plus.
