You sit down and enjoy some hot, fresh out of the oven cookies with a cold glass of milk! Remember, baby needs them. Hope today's a smooth day for you.

See I count those as health food ;). I agree you are eating for two. Hope you get the answer soon.

Oatmeal is sooo good for you and the baby:) And everyone knows chocolate makes happy babies! Hmmm, I don't think my kids are getting enough whole grains, either.....

Mmmmm....I've been craving chocolate chip oatmeal cookies lately. I might have to give in and bake some.

FIL argued with MIL that they were healthy. FIL: They've got oatmeal in them! MIL: They're COOKIES! FIL didn't care. He's as big a chocoholic as any woman I've seen.

I happen to know another pregnant woman who would love to share some cookies with you! :wink

Oh wait! I can't eat cookies until after the baby is born! (Note to self: quit reading blogs that frequently talk about FOOD!!!)

I know whattya mean...

About yesterdays post too. It's been hard for me to start this journey (of hubby back at school, moving out of state, etc.) and we did it right as #3 was coming too. It was very hard! Just wanted to let you know I'm feeling your pain and will pray for you.

I truly believe that a great mixer like this one is a gift that keeps on giving.

And isn't it always for the children/friends/birthday party?

Thanks for stopping by Life a la Mode!

I've wanted to make oatmeal cookies too for about 3 weeks and finally made them today, although I am an oatmeal raisin girl myself. Enjoy them.

Good plan! And my personal favorite though since no one else likes I rarely make them since they would go to "waist" not waste.

Wow!

Found your blog today via Barb Moody (celticpole).

Great stuff you have here!

I hope you guys decide on the right job for the husband. I prayed for you just now, even though we've never met.

This morning I am making apple pie. We have guests coming for supper, but the pie will be half gone by then. I am eating for two, but this has nothing to do with that, and everything to do with cranky crying kids and mom NEEDING a treat. In an hour I will get my reward - and maybe they'll be napping!

Our supper guests will get icecream.

This has nothing to do with cookies (well, maybe it does since butter, etc. are used to make the cookies), but I was wondering if you are still able to feed 4 people 3 meals a day (a whopping 84 meals!) for only $50 per week? I have certainly had to up my food budget as prices keep rising and was wondering if you had increased yours as well. I just can't figure out how anyone could eat anywhere near healthly food for that amount. I live alone and spend that and my nieces with 2 children each struggle to keep their food budget at $100/week for 4. Is everyone else out there having to up the budget for food?

Your post got my taste buds a-cravin'. I made my own choc-oat cookies...which turned out like dry little choc-oat-bricks.

Would you mind sharing your recipe??
