Flu

The kids tested positive for flu, and I'm not far behind them.

Why yes, that is a Smuckers Uncrustable in the little one's hand. That should tell you why I won't be posting much this week.

Poor Andrew. He was so looking forward to shooting those Airheads at his friends.

It seems to be going around. I just read an article about how this year is supposed to be the worst year in quite awhile for the flu. I know I'm fighting/getting over it. :(

Remember to hammer your multivitamins, get some nasal saline, and some zinc gum, and that'll help

Looks and Sounds familiar - we are just getting over the flu. I'm still wiped out. I ran one errand today and come home exhausted.

Take it REALLY easy. Make a big pot of soup and a batch of bread...oh, and some jello. If you all are like us, you just won't feel much like eating (not sick to the stomach...just uninterested in food). I'll be praying for your quick recovery!

Do not worry about the pb&j...we all have those days. You are a human mother, NOT super woman...(well, you really are a SUPER woman, you just do not have super powers) Feel better really soon. Roxie

Meredith, I'm so sorry! We were just coming out of the depths of the flu here, too, and then my husband came down with it. Praying that your little ones, and you, will have a swift recovery.

I am so sorry! The flu can quickly turn into all sorts of nasty little things - ear infections, bronchiolitis, etc. Watch our for other things too. Hope you are all feeling better soon.

Get well soon! We have had the flu on and off in our house, the kiddos are finally feeling better, but hubby and I are still sick.

I'm so sorry. The flu is miserable, and it's that much worse for a kid when he has to cancel his birthday party. :-( I hope you'll be able to reschedule it for a future date.

Poor babies! I guess all you can do is keep them warm and comfy and push liquids. Is this the strain of flu that the vacination wasn't effective on? I hope you don't become too sick yourself to care for the Little Ones. I hope you all are well soon.

I hope you all feel better soon. My youngest has just recovered from the dreaded Norovirus. It's so hard when our wee ones are sick.

Meredith, I'll miss your posts but am really enjoying your links to other frugal bloggers over the past week or so. Take it easy and get well soon! Oh, and don't worry about the Uncrustables - I was feeling guilty when I read your and your readers price comparisons on ORGANIC eggs - I never even considered purchasing such a thing! Take care! Hope today is a little better. We all understand convenience food at times but my pediatrician says no peanut butter until age 3. Obviously, Elize is not allergic, but apparently so many kids are that she doesn't want to risk it. Do most of you have doctors that don't recommend peanut butter until age 3?

so sorry you all are ill! Wish I could hop in my car and bring you some soup...

it's times like these that convenience foods are so perfect!!

Blessings,
