Christmas eve

Yard sale Santas wait for hot chocolate, muffins ready for the morning...

table set for Christmas lunch with April Cornell napkins, via Goodwill...

Kids reluctantly dressed for church in festive, frugal clothes. But no one's complaining too much. It's Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas , Meredith! Your preparations look festive and lovely. Isn't fun to pull out the yard sale stuff that you bought in July (or whenever!), when it was 100 degrees out, and suddenly have it look so wonderful and festive now that Christmas is actually here?! We opened our gifts a little while ago, had a lovely dinner....and now comes some cleanup time. But I just wanted to take a little break and check your blog before I got started. Wishing you a truly blessed Christmas with your family and friends! Can't wait to see what Santa brings YOU!!

Oh it looks so festive over there! I love the Santa mugs. I am going to have to look for those when I do my thrift shopping. Merry Christmas!

Me too, those are wonderful mugs. Merry Christmas to all of you--obviously the Grinch couldn't steal your Christmas.

I'm a big fan of April Cornell...and felt so sad when she went out of business, here in the Scottsdale area. Her sales where the only way to shop...but, what a (duh!) idea...look for her artwork at Goodwill. YES! lovely pics, as always.

blessings...and merry christmas...

I spied mugs 10 for 99 cents at Goodwill. They were brand new Christmas mugs too. Looking at your photo I almost wish I had picked up the 9 that matched. But I reminded myself of the very cute set of 19 white and turquoise year round mugs I got free from yardsale leftovers at church, and I left them for someone else.
