Thatta boy

"Mom, is the tooth fairy fiction or nonfiction?" --my 5 year old.

Blogger coffee this morning. Massive baking failure. Dirty diaper of the year half an hour before guests arrive.

I suspect that entertaining well is not so much about avoiding these disasters as it is learning to roll with them.

See you later!

I'm sure everyone is so happy to be there that the 'disasters' will make it memorable : )

have fun!

I find that it is better not to stress the little things (no matter how big they are)!!

I think you are right, it is all about grace under pressure, and who knows about that more than a SAHM? Hope you had fun and have some energy left for cleanup. Wish I could be there to meet you! Alison

Seems like the more hectic it is before the more enjoyable it is during. I have had guests that have come - and before they get here- I am frantic with problems that have come my way. They arrive, we greet them, sit down to eat - bow our heads to pray - and it is then - during the prayer that I realize how blessed I am to be able to have guests into my home.

Hope you have a good time.

What a fantastic morning. Thanks for starting my weekend off on such a high note!

And don't let her fool you, folks. The food was fabulous and no signs of the dirty diaper. :) She is as gracious a hostess as you would expect from reading her posts. I have never felt more welcomed in a "stranger's" home than I did in her beautifully decorated home.

It's the dirty diapers and baking failures that make us real people. Wish I could been there too... diapers and all.

If I were there, I'd laugh, give you a hug, and dig in and help! Who knows better than a mom what mornings like this are like?! I am sure you will have had a fun morning anyway! Blessings from all of us who live nowhere near Nashville....but wish we could be there!!

I think it's time to teach that boy about the fifth amendment.
