Hosting an event--even one so informal as this blogger coffee--is both terrifying and exhilarating to me. Thank you so much to everyone who fought the traffic to connect in real life.
I'd love to introduce you to my company!
Let's start with Ivy, the creator of Music City Bloggers, our city's "blog community" online. When Ivy's not sorting out the technical and political issues there, you can find her blogging away at Home-Ec-101, Shakyard and Curbly.
Paige, who blogs as Ms. Booty Homemaker, came bearing Mothers Acting Up booklets...and two of the organization's cofounders, Beth Osnes and Joellen Radersdorf. You can see Beth's one woman show (M)other tonight at 7:30 pm, with discussion to follow.
I was so excited to meet our Finishing School "headmistress," Elizabeth, the Merry Rose. And yes, she's just as gentle and kind as she appears in her thoughtful posts on homekeeping and womanhood.
Tracy, never shy about sharing her observations at Tracy Michele Unplugged, instantly disarmed me with her genuine manner and friendly smile.
And say hello to another transplant to Nashville, Michelle, whose Guatemalan adoption blog --the ultimate baby book--I found on a curious rabbit trail. It was so nice to meet you!
We've all seen Mrs. Fussy Fusspants' Guide to Life. I'm happy to report that's she even more fabulous and slim than a mother of 4 (soon to be 5) ought to be. (Her beribboned hostess gift didn't hurt! )
Oh, here's Malia! She's the prolific half of a husband-and-wife blog called Live. Laugh. Love.
Even though I always botch the title, her easy laugh fits it perfectly.
I was so busy admiring Karla's precious new baby (and glowing complexion) that I nearly forgot to ask her about the Mommy Card designs at Looking Towards Heaven.
O, pish posh! I had a hard time calling Shauna's little girl anything but Pea, but not quite as hard as I did comprehending that Nolensville touches LaVergne. (She was gracious about my lack of geography, though!)
I never leave my first internet stalkee Jordana without getting good book recommendations and the Big Purple House report. Maybe she'll share her inlaid wood countertop photos soon.
It was a special treat to have Christy return the blogging world, if only in conversation. She's still adding recipes to Eat Well while she enjoys her little ones abundantly.
Get us out from behind our keyboards, and you know what? We're one noisy, chatty group!
