Terra cotta autumn

One fall decoration I admire is my neighbor's set of terra cotta pumpkins, stacked one atop another.

These Romertopf clay bakers aren't pumpkin-shaped, but they do give an October cast to the space above my refrigerator.

I'm renting my dad's house, he left his kitchen stuff he never used that I wanted. I just discovered I own one of these! I think I'll try your chicken recipe this week. :)

I'm sad because I cracked mine like the one on top. It was hot and I sat it down on a cooler surface. At least I think that is what happened, anyway I can't use it so I am thinking about turning it into a planter.

I got one of those bakers at Goodwill for about $6. I did not think for Goodwill it was a great price but when I looked them up online I was more than okay with it!

I am going to have to keep my eye out for those at the thrift store. Those look so pretty and very fall!

They look great! I really love the idea of decorating with the things we use. And I love these cookers - my parents have one they bought in Germany years ago!

That looks much nicer than the cereal boxes and chip bags on top of my fridge!

Hi, when you have a minute would you please post the author and/or publication info on that Clay-Pot Cooking cookbook in your older post? I have one cookbook for using my Romertopf but would like to find one that has more "everyday" kinds of ideas. Thanks so much for your chicken&rice version; I'll be trying that this week. Love your blog, both fun and inspiring.
