Must reads

Biblical Womanhood has branched out into a new blog devoted to making you a better home economist. See Crystal's new digs at Money Saving Mom...and also at Frugal Hacks, where she'll be sharing frugal links each Saturday.

Cat from Scaling Back reveals the professional's secret to cleaning fine rugs naturally. (Cat's friend always keeps a small accent light on her kitchen counter, as does my own aunt. I forgot to mention that frugal option in my kitchen lighting post below.)

Simple Gifts is one of my favorite blogs. Today Nissa inspired me with a simple tutorial for creating silhouettes of your children. Even better--she suggests mounting them on a page of children's copywork. Now I know what to give the children's grandmother for Christmas!

Thank you so much for that link about cleaning wool rugs!!! I have a wool rug by my back door that I just adore, but it's filthy, and I didn't know how to clean it. I can't wait to try this tomorrow!

I made silhouettes of my nieces about 3 years ago (although mine weren't as finely detailed as the ones you've linked to). I gave them as gifts to their parents and grandparents. Everyone really liked them. Very simple to do, very inexpensive, and very well-received!
