Elise is adorable! And so big! I'll have to show the book to hubby - he's resisted the idea of a kitchen garden for ages because he thinks it will be too expensive!
Don't know about the book but that little tomato in the purple dress sure is cute.
I think I heard an interview with the author on NPR a while back, and then promptly forgot about the book, so thanks for the reminder! Great photo by the way.

Oh, Elise is so adorable! I love her little smile! And the smocked dress is wonderful.
Hey! That's the way I garden! Spend $128 on tomato plants, topsoil, and fertilizer ... and finally produce ... 2 tomatoes!Jora
I love the picture! Too cute!
Meredith- Elise is just the sweetest thing. The two of you are going to have some wonderful times planting $64.00 tomatoes as she gets older! What a beauty! Susan
I clicked on your site and read this story and clicked out of your site..then just had to click back to see that cute face again!! Sometimes I wonder what my tomatoes cost...the book sounds like a good read. Thanks.
