The family at Birth Dynamics squeezed 7 little ones into a 1000-foot house, then remodeled it beautifully! Their description of nicotine-soaked paneling brought back such fond (cough, cough) memories of our first fixer-upper. Great pictures!

I've lived in a house like that. They also had cats that missed the litter box, and that didn't do greatly for the rugs. The difference in the smell after we scrubbed down the walls and tore up the rugs was amazing. To tell the truth, I'd rather smell the cats than the nicotine! Anyway, I have nothing but total admiration for anyone handling a 'fixer upper!'
