Thrift store jeans

I asked my fashion-forward sister which brands of jeans to look for when Goodwill has 99-cent days. Her reply:
Here are some of the brands that I LOVE....and that are too expensive to even imagine buying at the stores.... (Don’t buy flare leg—straight or tapered is in now.) (Pants can still be wide leg, though.)
Citizens of Humanity
Seven (watch out for the fake seven jeans made by express. The label must say, “Seven for all mankind.” )
James jeans
Earl
Tahari
Marc Jacobs
Klein
Juicy Couture
Rock and Republic
Laundry
A.B.S.
H&M (affordable, but fits really well)

Lucky is another good "hip" brand. I paid $80 for mine (yes, in a sheer moment of losing my mind, this frugal princess did that).

I have seen Lucky brand jeans in Sams & Costco for $19 before...that is a good deal when you compare it to $80-100.

Seven for all mankind is my favorite though.

I highly recommend hitting Plato's Closet, if you have one in your area, for jeans. I can get a really good & expensive pair of jeans for about twenty bucks there.

I am really bummed that the straight and tapered pant is back in. I thought everyone got the lecture that these make your rear look larger than life? I don't know if I can go back to those kinds of jeans :)

I know! We're getting to that uncomfortable place where our early fashion years are beginning to repeat themselves.

I had to laugh because my sister has spent the last five years telling me my pants are not flared enough.

I don't care if tapered is back in "style", it looks bad on everyone. Definitely a rear-end-magnifying glass. :-)

I also like Lucky Jeans, very cute.

Great post. I made a copy and put it in my billfold.
