Toasting a new year!

May your families enjoy another year of health and prosperity! Someone gave us a bottle of sparkling grape juice, so we all had a toast tonight. I didn't realize a bottle was so cheap--$1.50 at Big Lots, and even cheaper after the holidays, from what I understand. Then we sorted LEGO pieces into their parent sets. What a party!

Happy New Year, Meredith!!
We spent our evening in similar, "exciting" fashion. We cleaned through the afternoon, made some frozen pizzas, and then I cleaned out and sorted my coupon file while we watched a movie! Great minds think alike, I guess! :-)
I am going to look for some of the "bubbly" you showed at the Big Lots near us. I think it would be fun for the Valentine's Day dinner I want to have at home with my husband. ( And speaking of Valentine's Day, I could not BELIEVE that Target was already starting to stock their Valentine's candy the other day!)

I love your glasses with the gold rims. They look like antiques. Happy New Year and I am so glad I found your blog. I am a 54 yr. old grandma and I applaud you for the wonderful mother and young woman you are. Kathy C in ILLinois

My husband and I use the same grape juice to toast a lot of holidays. Once in a glass, no one needs to know that it is a safer way to celebrate. We buy it after Christmas and it can stay in the pantry for a long time.
I hope and pray that you and your family have a blessed 2007. May God wrap his loving arms around you and keep you safe.

I found your link while looking at another blog and then came here and read some posts. You have a nice blog and your lifestyle is very much like mine.

We bought a couple of bottles at Big Lots during the summer (for $1.50 each), one was a Valentine's Day one and one I think is a Christmas/New Year's one ... it's still the same stuff inside, and that's all that matters! The kids loved it. :-)
