Nativity sets

I love nativity sets of all kinds, and I enjoyed peeking at those of the Copper's Wife. If you've posted photos of your family's creche, leave me the link in the comments below. Below is our children's nativity. I bought it for $5 at Dillard's after-Christmas sale. It's unbreakable resin plated in silver--just as child-friendly as a plastic version, but the silver goes with the holiday decorations better than plastic. This is the first year we used an "adult" nativity; to keep kids from breaking it, I adhered the ceramic figurines to the base with putty.
PS--If you are ever in Nashville in wintertime, stop by the Upper Room near Vanderbilt for an amazing collection of nativities from around the world!

So I hope you haven't taken your archives down!

I love this set! It's so unique!! I also really like the way you arranged the nativity set in your fireplace. Very nice!

BTW, thanks for the link to my blog.

Very nice!

I purchased a nice olive wood set through the SERRV (fair trade) organization, but it is a basic set, nothing ornate about it, and helps me keep the focus on keeping things simple and most importantly, on Jesus.
