My husband designed a thrifty solution. The heater protruded 8 inches from the wall, so he scrounged an 8” pine board and cut it to a generous length. We bolted it on the wall with L-brackets and added support pieces from scrap wood.
I stapled a remnant of green velvet from a yard sale to the top. It was the perfect width for the board, down to the inch. (Don’t you love it when that happens?)
The corners were a little long, but I folded and tucked the excess under the table for a little volume. I let the selvage edge of the fabric skim the floor.
The result is a functional, narrow table that hides the heater, doesn’t take up more than 8” of floor space, and adds a tailored look to the entry.

I found you at Nester. Gorgeous! I had a very wealthy friend who decorated her home much like you do--with Proverbs 31 in mind. She was amazing. From what I've seen, so are you!
