Rainy day blues

We were supposed to go to the park today, but the baby woke at midnight with a high fever. Much laundry later, I heard the rain come.

I was only halfway through assembling hospitality bags for some VIPs coming to my husband's workplace. Now the armoire painting must pause, too. In this mother's life, every productive day is followed by chaos. That's why I try to seize those moments when I have both time and energy!

On a side note, I'm fresh out of books to read. Anyone who loves browsing at the library will appreciate Queen of Carrots' dilemma.

  1. I hope nobody else gets sick and that the little one gets better quickly.

It sure is a yucky day today. I had a lot of plans that aren't working out due to the rain.

  2. So sorry you have sick ones!

Don't know if you're interested, or if you're even into Christian/historical fiction, but I'm giving away a Beverly Lewis hardback today to the first commenter who wants it.

  3. Hope Elise is feeling better soon and that everyone else remains well, if not exactly happy due to cabin fever. :)
