But.....I do shop there as they no longer get those really cheap crates that had living creatures living in them, so I love shopping there, I still can't buy pasta there though! = ) Bad memory!
So, make sure if anything looks like it has been taped, or is dark and dingy store where they are really trying to save money, I would only buy canned goods! I love it though! It is up by my mom, so it is a drive, but everytime I visit I go! I had 2 bags of groceries for $9 this last time!Martha A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02426112535240400393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12364613.post-18144075438250028712007-10-13T21:52:00.000-05:002007-10-13T21:52:00.000-05:00I was looking forward to going into a salvage groc...I was looking forward to going into a salvage grocery for the first time this weekend while visiting my Mom. There is one just down the street from her and she has told me good things about it.

You can imagine my delight when one of the first foods I discovered upon entering the store was a box of Barilla Pasta Plus for only 50 cents!! I couldn't believe my luck! I can't wait to try it. :)

I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of foods that this particular store had and that all their outdated things were in a seperate section appropriately labeled...

Thank you for your blog! However, once you get over that, they have lots and lots of stuff - not just canned items - they have refrigerated, frozen, cleaning, paper and toiletry items.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12364613.post-58661556102194465572007-10-11T22:44:00.000-05:002007-10-11T22:44:00.000-05:00But Michigan has one more than Maryland! We have very fond memories of stopping at the Little Barn in Bedford.
