How To Get Ready For Guests

Flower beds weeded and mulched.
Rocking chairs, columns, front door, mailbox painted.
Windows washed.
All laundry put away.
White coverlet washed AGAIN after dirty child left marks on freshly laundered bed.
Pound cake, lemon pie, and five dozen cookies baked.
Five stores, dozens of groceries bought, a box of doughnuts eaten in the car.
Legs and back aching uncontrollably.
More to do, but the end is in sight.

Can a homemaker borrow that feminist slogan? If so, I am woman, hear me roar!

You are awesome! I don't accomplish that much in a week.

A life's lesson:
Dirty Kids and White Coverlets are a bad combination.

I hope in all this activity you took a few minutes for a nice, hot bubblebath! Or at least a glass of iced tea and a little chocolate...

Sorry, the box of donuts wolfed down in the car doesn't count!

You need to put your feet up!!! :)

Oh, and I have a question! Where do you go to Goodwill in our area when you are looking for clothes? What's the best location? (I'm in need of some post-baby, pre-regular clothes. :)

Oh Meredith, you have been in my prayers! ... I feeling the same way - like the end is in sight. The first 3 of my guest fly in this evening.

I'll continue to pray for you and I. Be blessed in Jesus' name!

That's exhausting even to read. Good for you getting so much accomplished!

Wow! That would be impressive for anyone much less someone who is pregnant.

IMHO, of course you as homemaker can say "I am woman hear me roar." I am a SAHM, and I was even a full-time homemaker for a while before we started our family, and a feminist. I am grateful that the changes in our society allow me a choice, even if the system isn't perfect yet, it beats every woman and man having to fit into a pre-made mold.
